I premiered this blog on my Facebook page today. I talk about cooking all of the time on there, so I decided to share it with my FB family as well as my Twitter fam. Food IS about preparing and sharing...so, I'm constantly running ideas past whoever is listening. So, it made sense that when I began reconfiguring and redesigning this blog, that I hip my everyday contacts to it.
When I did, my friend DeShanna suggested a really good idea! She's diabetic and suggested that I post recipes for the diabetic readers. Seeing that my mother is diabetic, I figured that it shouldn't be too hard.
In compliance with DeShanna's request, until I can actually gather nutritionally sound diabetic recipes and conversions, I implemented a widget that gives recipes for the "glucose-challenged". I will try to scrounge up some recipes soon and I'll be sure to mark a specific area here that caters to just those recipes. Perhaps a recipe of the week. Some nutritonal facts, etc.

That's a great idea!! This is actually my first time here *head hanging*, but I haven't had the energy to cook for a long time, but now that I have somewhat of a desire to pull out the pans, here I am!
You want another challenge? Come up with some renal diet recipes! The renal diet sucks as much as the diabetic diet!

I think you will do well. My friend Shalanda is diabetic and she likes to try different recipes. I am going to email her this link today.
I hope I do well. I really need help. I would need someone who does have experience in converting normal recipes into sugar-friendly ones. I do have some ideas though.
